Psychology made magical

Studying A-Level Psychology? Following the new Edexcel Specification? Look no further...

CHILD PSYCHOLOGY

Rather than create more expensive web pages, I'm publishing a series of study guides for the Unit 2 Options. All three (CRIMINOLOGICAL PSYCHOLOGY, CHILD PSYCHOLOGY and HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY) are out now

8-MARK ESSAYS

I'm redrafting the 'exemplar essays' on the site to bring them in line with the latest guidance from the Exam Board. These updated essays don't have a separate 'description' (AO1) and 'evaluation' (AO3) - instead the AO1 and AO2 are coupled together and indicated by different colours of typeface. I've also added a WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW bar at the top of these updated pages.

Don't go using the old style exemplars as guides. I'll get round to correcting them all and adding new 12-, 16- and 20- mark exemplars too.

Whenever my students need music, I play "It Must Be Something Psychological", from Katie Lee's 1957 comedy cult classic, Songs of Couch & Consultation. All the songs on the album poke fun at psychology, but this one's my favourite.

Yes, a blog post analysing the album is on the way.
Since I'm creating resources for my own students, I thought I'd share them with everyone. 2015/16 is the start of a new A-Level Specification, there's not a lot out there on the Web, so what I've got I'll keep together here and I'll keep adding. Hope you find it useful!

Keep an eye on the Blog, which I'll try to update. However, I'm working on other projects at the moment so I'll only add slowly to the Psychology site - then a big push next year.
